ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY Close this window

Nancy Wulff is primarily a watercolorist who loves to draw and paint. She graduated from S.J. State University with a B.A. in Art Education. Has shown her work at the Norton Studio in Palo Alto, and at various banks and restaurants in Palo Alto.

Growing up, drawing was a favorite pastime. Nancy was privileged to be one of those chosen from many schools to attend Saturday classes at the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston. Although the arts were a big part of family life, a more practical career was encouraged and after graduating high school she entered business school and then entered the business world. Some years later she moved to California and art was once again part of her life. While raising her family she pursued her degree in art, then taught children's art classes for the Pacific Art League and Triton Museum of Art. Currently she enjoys the challenge of teaching adults while pursuing her own growth as an artist.

Ms. Wulff is a member of the Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society, Los Gatos Art Association, and the Pacific Art League.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT
Nature provides me with everything I need for a painting: form, color and beauty. These elements enhance my imagination and bring me to the joy of painting. I paint mostly from life and try to capture the essence of the subject through color and gesture.
