ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY Close this window

Originally from Colorado, where light and color travel the entire spectrum—from the gray monotone of winter snow storms to the brilliant splashings of flowers in spring meadowsElaine Frenett drank all that in.

A simple tomboy, Elaine grew to experience multi-faceted homes, dynamic relationships, rich nature exposure and expansive travel. Eventually, meandering back to the simple dream...of being an artist.

After moving to California, she committed to a five year design program, graduating with a focus on Illustration. As a freelance artist, Frenett has been published from New York to Los Angeles and has shown consecutively in the juried San Francisco Society of Illustrators Annual Show. Commissioned work began to intermingle with a growing focus in fine art and galleries took an interest. Currently, Frenett's pieces are in collections private, corporate and international. For now, she happily remains nested in the Bay Area where the diversity sparks her spirit and where awards, as well as national and museum shows are opening up to her.

Ms. Frenett is a member of the Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society, Allied Artists West, California Watercolor Association, San Francisco Society of Illustrators, Society of Western Artists, and is a Watercolor West Juried Member.
