Artists for Open Space Show at Costanoa

On Sunday, September 1, 2002, from 10 am until 5pm, Artists for Open Space will exhibit and sell their work at the lovely Costanoa Coastal Lodge & Camp, located off Hwy 1 at Rossi Road near Pescadero, CA. Artists for Open Space is a group of seven Bay Area artists who donate 20% of nature-inspired art sales to non-profit organizations that acquire, preserve, and maintain Open Space for all to enjoy. Art buyers choose which organization benefits from their purchase.

Costanoa is graciously hosting this one-day show from their combined Oak/Redwood Rooms, located in the Lodge. Overlooking beautiful stretches of undisturbed shores and rolling coastal hills, adjacent to four state parks, a spectacular wildlife reserve and 30,000 acres of foot trails, Costanoa is a wonderful location to host this event. “Come spend the Sunday of Labor Day weekend with us, enjoying art and nature at Costanoa.” invites Donna Peterson, of Costanoa. “We’re happy to be hosting this one-day event, and encourage visitors to come see what we’re all about.” For directions to Costanoa Lodge & Camp, visit their website at www.costanoa.com, or call 650-879-1100.

“A friend first told me about Costanoa,” explains artist and illustrator Elaine Frenett, “After visiting, I knew the group would want to come back and paint on location. We’re thrilled that Costanoa, a place that shares our environmental consciousness and values, was interested in hosting an exhibit of our work.”

Artists for Open Space was formed in 2001, and the seven artists include Elaine Frenett of San Jose, JoAnne Horsfall-Beasley, of Palo Alto, Jean Warren, of Los Gatos, Linda Tapscott, of Fremont, Nancy Wulff and Floy Zittin, both from Cupertino, and Nancy Barry-Jansson, of Sunnyvale, CA.
