FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
If your question is not answered below, send us an email and we'll be happy to get back to you.

How will Artists For Open Space determine who receives proceeds from the sale of art?
The person or entities that purchase art will be able to choose which open space organization will benefit from their purchase. We have carefully chosen the organizations doing the most for open space acquisition and preservation. Visit our Organizations page to see the current listing of beneficiaries.

How much is donated?
The artists have decided to donate a full 20% of the purchase price to the organization of the buyers choice. Your purchase can benefit any of the groups listed on our Organizations page.

Is Artists for Open Space a non-profit?
No, we are not non-profit. Rather, it is 20% of our profit that we are donating to open space organizations.

We are artists inspired by nature and committed to preserving open space. To that end, we share a portion of our profit with organizations that have made it their priority to acquire, maintain, and preserve the open spaces. This is our way to honor the land that inspires us and insure that these organizations can continue their work. All of the artists on this site are passionate about this subject, and are happy to give back in this way.

How do I purchase art shown on this site?
Contact the artist directly and let them know which pieces you would like to purchase on this site. For contact information, click on the "Artist's Info" link in the individual artist's gallery page. If you are interested in several different artists, you may contact the group's coordinator, Nancy Barry-Jansson, at 408-534-1244 or send an email.

Will I have an opportunity to see the artwork in person?
From time to time, the artists will be showing their work in person at public venues. If you would like to meet the artists in person, see their work, and ask questions, you may directly email or call the artists you are interested in meeting, and feel free to ask about the date/time of their next showing.

Some of the artists also show their work in local galleries or other venues, however, only the art shown on this site was created specifically to benefit open space organizations. Therefore, purchases of their art that is not shown on this site may not benefit open space. If you are in doubt, just ask the artist.
